Our first evening in Paris and we were starving. On the reccomendation of the woman who showed us our apartment, we made our way to a small restaurant. (Walking, because who would EVER try to drive in this city?! I can't tell your how crazy the traffic is!!! Do you know how hard it is to communicate when you can only understand "oui", so that word gets repeated over and over with nods and pointing and smiles. Eventually, with the help of several people who knew some broken English, we ordered some food and water.  Ahhh...it was so good to eat. We had boeuf à la Bourguignonne , potatoes (imagine that I said that with an accent), French fries (REAL ones, because this IS France after all), some sort of seafood in shells. Janel ordered this and I tried them to be adventurous. Which here means; I closed my eyes, gagged and swallowed. Let me tell you, American's version of French bread is NOT spot-on. French have AMAZING bread. And now, it is 21:36, so I need...

Here are a couple of quotes I've come across lately and liked for one reason or another.  Of course, everyone is different already, but it's ok to be reminded that it's fine to be that way. =)  True  Just in case you wondered.  Ain't this the truth?!  Cool Beans  =)  I try.  A few times, yup.  You will only find this funny if you've seen Hunger Games.  Best.Mug.Ever. Yup. This is what I'm doing. For real. Like in just a couple of days. I feel tingly when I think about it. 

 So....yes. I did turn the highest age I've ever been; 22. It actually wasn't as painful as it could have been. I had a pretty decent year.  I did some traveling...Vermont TWICE in two weeks. (Hiking was included.)  :: I went to Bible School and had a blast making new friends :: :: We went to a concert of one of our favorite singers; Will Stoltz :: :: My first snowmobile ride!!! :: :: Skiing in New York with the greatest pals!!! ::   :: I got a job as cook and now hostess at an Amish style restaurant and I LOVE it. (And my coworkers.) :: :: A fun filled weekend with out of state friends :: :: My newest favorite picture because that's pretty much my relationship with my parents right there.::   "L ive everyday like its your birthday." To celebrate my birthday, some of my bestest friends and I went for an evening on the town. We had a certain fiasco in which the fried ice cream was thrown in my face and chocolate and...

These are some wonderful friends from work. The other night, after we were all done with our shifts, we headed off to another restaurant where another friend is a waitress. We, of course, compared the food, menus, waitresses, etc. to 'our' place.   We all felt large afterwards, so we went on a walk. Leah is on the left (she is a waitress) and Sharon is on the right. (She doesn't work there anymore.) 

This group of people are the best. We got to hang out all weekend. (They even came to visit me at work. Bless their hearts.)  :: Out for a little Sunday drive. This is how we roll. (Also how we get the neighbors to look.) ::  :: We look normal... ::  ::...but we aren't...::  ::Want to know how you almost get kicked out of the Walmart parking lot??? Try doing this sort of thing in front of the store. ::   Yup. It was a blast. Some of things we did: Volley ball (until we were sick of it) Ice cream (yum!) Do NOT sit on TOP of the picnic tables. It makes the workers grumpy. (Who knew that was against the rules?) Rides in my new car (Isn't he adorable?) The guys found a new way of making the tires squeal. Lift the car from the back, rev it up and drop it. It works!!! The telling of lots of lame jokes ('Shut up turkey, I know what I'm doing.') Eating popcorn around the fire until we were blue in the face. Becoming Walmart ...
